ABOUT THE COMMISSARY
We’re a small kitchen commissary rental company where diverse food entrepreneurs craft local, hand-made, and Ontario-based products. Located on Kitchener's historic Iron Horse Trail, we’re close to farmers markets, pop-up dinners, and family-friendly events throughout the spring, summer, and early fall.
Our kitchen is up for rent, has passed regional inspections, and serves as a great space for starting new food ventures. With 10 years in the CPG industry and over 20 years in food and hospitality, we’re here to help you cook up something special.
WOODEN BOAT FOOD COMPANY
Originally, we kicked off in November 2018 as a funky, hidden gem with an 80’s vibe, set in an industrial space. We served up delicious, unique Vietnamese dishes with a mission to be a zero-waste kitchen. We source sustainable, pastured proteins from Southern Ontario, use seasonal veggies, and are proud to be a saran-wrap, tinfoil, and parchment-free restaurant. We’re also a Feast On partner and the first Vietnamese restaurant in Ontario to be Ocean-Wise recommended.
WHAT’S NEXT?
We’ll keep catering parties of 30-50 people with the same focus on top-quality ingredients and service. Our Nuoc Cham is available across Ontario, at various butcher shops, fish retailers, and specialty stores.
