Mark this one down! If you’re wanting to support and encourage our next generation who are inspired to cook, eat and source better food, grab a tix for this meal.
In partnership with SDSS (Stratford District Secondary School), I’ll be guiding their senior students through preparation & service to bring you a delicious 4 course Vietnamese/Southeast Asian inspired meal.
See you then!

Culinary Club Dinner #2 at the Screaming Avocado, Nov 8th
Guest Chef: Thompson Tran
Menu art: Lauren Restoule
Seatings from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, $40 per person
To reserve, email: screamingavocadosdss@gmail.com
Thompson Tran is many things - Restauranteur, Chef, Father, Grammy Nominee, High school teacher, local food advocate and more.
Based in KW, his Wooden Boat Food Company was a bastion of inventive, local ingredient based cuisine. His Nuoc Cham sauce can be found in fine food and grocery stores coast to coast.
Thompson will be joining the students of SDSS for two days in November to share his skills and experience, culminating a beautiful seasonal menu heavily influenced by his Vietnamese orgin, but also nodding to other Asian cuisines.
Gratuities will go to support The Den, SDSS' student support program that addresses issues of food and socioeconomic inequity.
